Currently, Deutsche Bahn's products and services lack a unified systematic approach. To address this, we developed and evaluated pilot projects such as DB Bonvoyo and DB Flinkster, providing a compelling example of how to create a more functional, cohesive, and future-ready product ecosystem for the entire DB portfolio.
Systematic
The new system utilized a functionally-driven combination of newly developed icons, designed in the style of Deutsche Bahn's iconography, and the DB Neo typeface.
Applications
To evaluate the new system, it was applied to real-world use cases, including larger applications like the Flinkster App and DB Navigator, as well as smaller components such as favicons in browser tabs, POIs in maps, and payment buttons.
